John & I have lived in Nelson most of our lives except for a two year stint in London when we were young. We are in the early stages of retirement and are learning or trying to learn how to do life with a different rhythm however we do always seem to have a project on the go. Like many people our age we enjoy being around our Children and Grandchildren and with Washbourne Gardens two minutes walk away is a lovely place to explore with the Children or just for a wander among older trees and lovely gardens.
All regions of New Zealand have a lot to offer however the Tasman Region has so many beautiful parts to it. From Lake Rotoiti and the bush walks; Able Tasman National Park, Beaches, Mountains, Bike trails, Rabbit Island and Mapua Wharf with wonderful Fish and chips. Golden Bay with all its beautiful beaches - we are spoilt for choice. Richmond CBD is just a few minutes walk down the road with loads of options for cafe's and restaurants which makes Mathea House a great base for exploration.
